The head size was so big, it literally felt like I was swinging a football tied to the end of the shaft. So, I recently picked up this launcher (stiff flex, 8.5, Tour Model 430cc) from Amazon for a great price thinking that since I hated the 460 it was worth a shot.
Well, after about 5 rounds with this thing, I'm in love. I haven't hit a driver this consistently well since my original Great Big Bertha ten years ago. I went with the 8.5 loft instead of the 9.5 because (as evidenced by the name "Launcher") this club is intended to elevate the ball more immediately, which it does.
I went from hitting the ball all over creation with the 460 to hitting a controlled fade with the Launcher Tour. The slightly open face is perfect for someone who wants to play a left to right ball flight, but the club does not inhibit playing a draw either. It does seem to limit the occasional... Read more
