An amazing fairway club, December 24, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Tour Edge Men's Exotics XCG4 Fairway Wood (Sports) This 3 wood gets better each time I use it. It is replacing a Taylor Made Burner Plus 3 metal wood I purchased over 20 years ago. The face of the XCG4 is smaller and thinner than most you see on the market these days, but the punch off the club is surprising - and you gotta love the sound (a ping) when struck in the sweet spot. With a neutral and very soft grip, I am ripping the ball 225 every time I hit it. It is much easier to move the ball with this club also - it is very responsive to a slight grip change - plus it's a beautiful club to look at and hold. It isn't cheap, but the best money I've spent on a golf club since I bought my Ping Eye-2's over 20 years ago! I have a strong feeling that Santa is bringing me a Ping G-20 driver tomorrow, so I'll be set! I highly recommend. And of course, buying from Amazon was a pleasure - especially until California starts forcing the sales tax.

This 5-wood from Tour Edge is particulary pleasing, as I usually hook my fairways woods but this one can be worked both ways and I have been able to get a consistent fade when required. It is very long for a 5-wood and is ceratinly value for my money!
